Dear All,
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has recently extended an invitation for me to participate in the update and delivery of its online training course on Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) Preparedness. This virtual learning course was developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (REU) and the European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD). Additional adaptations have been made with the assistance of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific. The course contents are based on materials developed by the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut. It was honor to represent Cairo University as a contributor and as an instructor.
LSD is endemic in many countries worldwide, and is not expanding into northern Africa. It continues to cause problems in the region. Therefore, I encourage you to visit the link and explore the contents.
Best of luck supporting the national and regional Bioshield structures.
