The Group for Vaccination Advice, Guidance, and Consultation (GVA) for Foot-and-mouth and Similar Transboundary animal diseases in the Middle East. Aim The aim of the group for vaccination advice, guidance and consultation is to assist countries of the Middle East in the design and implementation of post-vaccination monitoring activities and act as a platform to exchange experience and expertise on vaccination for FAST diseases (FMD and Similar Transboundary Animal Diseases). Composition of the group The advisory group consists of four experts as the core group of members and six focal points representing the countries in the region, assisted by EuFMD experts and representatives of international reference laboratories. Experts from international, regional and national vaccine producers can be included or invited to participate in the meetings of the GVA, according to the topic discussed and in modalities to avoid any conflict of interest. The leader of the advisory group is elected from the core group for an established period (one-two years).
