Monkeypox virus: An Emerging Threat to Public Health

Dear colleagues and students,
Monkeypox virus is an emerging threat to public health. Therefore, the Egyptian Society for Virology (ESV) has organized an online workshop to address the different aspects of virology that are related to the current outbreak of Mpox (the disease caused by the virus). There will be deep discussions related to the One-Health aspects as well. I have been selected by the ESV to give the opening lecture. For that, I have chosen the title: "Mpox: From An Ancient Virus To A Recent Outbreak".
