Tsunami and Sustainability of Coastal Communities

Tsunami and the sustainability of the coastal communities is a post graduate course that aims to transfer knowledge regarding the impact of tsunami on coastal communities. Since the Boxing Day (2004) the conscious of the world has been changed. Noticing the devastating effect of one of the most dangerous natural phenomena of the world, the science of tsunami is now in the focus and interest of most of the research bodies and schools. The course aims to educate planners and architects for theirs important role they can play in the resilience of coastal communities to mitigate the impact of tsunami hazards.
