Mr. Mohamed obtained her B.Sc. degree in June, 2008 (chemistry major) from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University. In 2014, he received the M.Sc. degree in Physical Chemistry (Development of a Nano-hydroxyapatite Composite for the Removal of Some Heavy Metal Ions from Water) from the same institution. He is currently working for PhD in the same institution to hydroxyapatite/carbon nanocomposites for wastewater treatment. In parallel, he is working as a senior research assistant in the Nanotechnology and Advanced Material Central Lab. (NAMCL) of the Agriculture Research Center (ARC), Egypt. That work subjected him for a wide-spectrum of the state-of-art instrumentations as the High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope (HRTEM-STEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX), thin film XRD, Malvern ZetaSizer Nano (Particle size analysis and Zeta potential measurements), Cell culture, Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM), spectroscopic units, etc. His research focuses on nanomaterials (fabrication, characterization, and calculations) for potential applications in wastewater treatment. He has so far co-authored 2 peer reviewed journal publications and participated in 6 international conferences. He received the Academy of Science and Technology grant for outstanding academic merit in 2009 and the best paper award in the 1st international conference on new horizons in basic and applied science (ICNHBAS) - Hurghada, Egypt in 2013.
