Abstract
We treated 30 tibial plateau fractures (Schatzker Type VI) in 29 patients, with a mean age of 41.4 (20-76) years, with the Ilizarov fixator. In 18 fractures, we combined the treatment with minimal internal fixation. All fractures were the result of high-energy trauma, and 20 patients had associated injuries. Twenty-eight fractures were available for follow-up after 27 (16-36) months. Using The Knee Society clinical rating system, 18 knees were rated as excellent, seven as good, one as fair, and two as poor. There was a direct correlation between the presence of associated injuries and the final outcome. The most significant concomitant injuries were distal femoral fractures and extensive soft-tissue injury. This study emphasizes the clinical success and low morbidity associated with the use of external fixation and minimal internal fixation.

Mohamed, D. M. E. -sayed, Composite Figures in Ancient Iraq , , Giza, Cairo University, 2005. Abstract

The thesis of the “Composite Figures in Ancient Iraq ” deals with the fabulous creatures which appear in the art of the ancient Iraq .
The composite figure consists of some limbs of two or more creatures . These limps are The most instinctive parts in such creatures ; e.g. The human head which refers to the intelligence , the lion or bull body which refers to the physical power , and the wings of the bird which refers to the speed of flight .

The ancient Iraqi artist wanted to create perfect beings differentiate from the human beings , the animals , and the birds , but contain all the properties of these creatures.

This study divides to two parts , the text and the catalogue .
The text divides to introduction , four chapters and conclusion :

1 - The first chapter deals with : the notion of creation in ancient Iraq mythology .

2 - The second chapter deals with : the figures which consist of some parts of two different beings, e.g. the two faced god , the bull – man , the boat – man , the lion – man , the winged dragon , the winged griffin and the lion headed eagle .

3 - The third chapter deals with : the figures which consist of some parts of three different beings , e.g. Lamassu and the goddess Lamaštu .

4 - The fourth chapter deals with : the figures which consist of some parts of four different beings e.g. the god Pazuzu .

In this work, the incidence and occurance of anaerobic bacterial pathogen in different freshwater fish farms have been investigated. The results indicated the presence of C. perfrengens, C. sporogenes, C. birfermentans, Actinomyces species and peptostreptococcus species in Nile tilapia ( O. niloticus), C. carpio in soil of earthen ponds using poultry droopings as organic fertilizers, while nile tilapia ( O. niloticus) collected from concrete ponds were negative for isolation of anaerobic bacteria.Typing of isolated C. perfringens indicated that the isolates were belonging to the toxogenic A and D types. Examination of water samples revealed the presence of great alterations in the physicochemical and microbiological parameters, particularly, in samples collected from earthen ponds.
The histopathological changes of experimentally inoculated fishes with toxogenic isolates of C. perfringens were fully demonstrated.
