Abstract:

"Many organizations that implemented ERP systems have reported not satisfied impacts from these huge investments. According to extensive academic debates, the reasons of ERP systems implementation failures are the disconnection between them and organizational performance.
The ERP selection process is an important step in the future financial and operational success of any manufacturing or distribution organization, empirical research has shown that selecting an inappropriate system is a major reason for ERP implementation failures, in Egypt the success rate of implementing ERP systems is extremely lower than that in western companies. Thus, ERP implementation success in Egypt is treated according to some dependent variables []. Although many companies in developing countries may have implemented ERP systems to capture its benefits, there is a lack of examining their actual influence on ERP systems. In this paper, the researchers present framework for ERP selection and adopted a critical factors to provide the organization with the necessary information to make a well-informed, quantitative software selection, toward achieving a successful ERP implementation.
This research starts by focusing on assessing the ERP System implementation benefits, outcomes and The cost of ERP projects failure followed by the most cardinal sins of ERP implementation then we presented the framework of ERP selection criteria after that, the critical factors toward achieving a successful ERP implementation were defined, finally the role governance and influences on success of ERP system implementation in Egypt were presented."
