Professor Dr. Rehab Abdelhai is Professor of Public Health & Community Medicine, at Faculty of Medicine - Cairo University, and is currently the department chair. She is alumnus of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and previously visiting faculty at University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA.
She has served as Technical Officer at WHO-Egypt, where she worked with governments, multilateral organizations, and NGOs to achieve sustainable positive outcomes for health in challenging environments. Additionally, she is adjunct professor at the Arabian Gulf University sharing in activities of the Clinical Research diploma program.
Dr. Abdelhai has broad experience in international research and has participated in multiple projects funded by the WHO, Welcome Trust, NIH and SIDA to address priority health problems within the Egyptian community. She also serves on numerous committees affiliated to the Egyptian Ministry of Health as well as the WHO-EMRO.
