Nour Eldeen M. Khalifa

Nour Eldeen Mahmoud Khalifa received his BSc, M.Sc., and Ph.D. degree in 2006, 2009, and 2013 respectively, all from Cairo University, Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology Department, Cairo, Egypt. He had a Professional M.Sc. in Cloud Computing in 2018. Currently, he is an associate professor in the faculty of computers and artificial intelligence at Cairo University.

He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the National Cybersecurity Task Force in Egypt. Also, he is a member of the permanent committee of international universities ranking in Cairo University and a member of the CU president technical office. He held the Cairo University Award for Encouragement in Engineering in 2021 for distinguished publication records. His name is included in the Stanford university list of the top 2% percent of scholars around the world in 2022, 2023, and 2024. He is an academic editor in PLOS One journal and board member and reviewer for international journals. He is one of the team members of the open factory project funded by the European Union (1 million dollars grant) and other research projects. 

His H-index is 23 and has more than 3500 citations. He authored/co-authored more than 50 publications and 3 edited books. His research interests include wireless sensor networks, cryptography, multimedia, wireless communication security, network security, cloud, machine, and deep learning. He represented his country (Egypt) as an official delegation members specialized in AI in the BRICS in Russia.

He has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses since 2008 including (Internet Technology, Web Engineering, Computer Programming, Computer Graphics, Computer Networks, Computer, and Network Security, Cybersecurity, Secure Programming, Cloud Computing, Cloud Security, Advanced Data Center Architectures, Machine learning, and E-business), also, he gave IT/AI lectures in UNESCO, ISESCO, Egyptian Parliament, and Egyptian Public Prosecution.

He participated in several committees formed by the Ministry of Communication and the Ministry of Youth in Egypt to evaluate IT projects. He participated in many international workshops and conferences in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Greece, and Gulf Region; he also participated in organizing several conferences and workshops (AISI2019, AMLTA2018, ICCA2012, and ALTIC2011).

حصل نور الدين محمود خليفة على درجة البكالوريوس والماجستير والدكتوراه في أعوام 2006 و2009 و2013 على التوالي، جميعها من جامعة القاهرة، كلية الحاسبات والذكاء الاصطناعي، قسم تكنولوجيا المعلومات، القاهرة، مصر. كما حصل على درجة الماجستير المهني في الحوسبة السحابية عام 2018. حاليًا، يشغل منصب أستاذ مشارك في كلية الحاسبات والذكاء الاصطناعي بجامعة القاهرة.

وهو عضو في معهد مهندسي الكهرباء والإلكترونيات (IEEE) وعضو في فريق العمل الوطني للأمن السيبراني في مصر. كما أنه عضو في اللجنة الدائمة لتصنيف الجامعات الدولية بجامعة القاهرة وعضو في المكتب الفني لرئيس جامعة القاهرة. حصل على جائزة جامعة القاهرة التشجيعية في الهندسة عام 2021 نظير سجله المتميز في النشر العلمي. تم إدراج اسمه في قائمة جامعة ستانفورد لأفضل 2% من العلماء حول العالم في أعوام 2022 و2023 و2024. وهو محرر أكاديمي في مجلة PLOS One وعضو في هيئة التحرير ومراجع للعديد من المجلات الدولية. كما أنه أحد أعضاء فريق مشروع المصنع المفتوح الممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي (منحة بقيمة مليون دولار) ومشاريع بحثية أخرى.

يبلغ مؤشر H-index الخاص به 23 ولديه أكثر من 3500 استشهاد. قام بتأليف/المشاركة في تأليف أكثر من 50 منشورًا و3 كتب محررة. تشمل اهتماماته البحثية شبكات الاستشعار اللاسلكية، التشفير، الوسائط المتعددة، أمن الاتصالات اللاسلكية، أمن الشبكات، الحوسبة السحابية، التعلم الآلي، والتعلم العميق. مثل بلده (مصر) كعضو رسمي في الوفد المتخصص في الذكاء الاصطناعي في مجموعة البريكس في روسيا.

قام بتدريس مقررات لطلاب البكالوريوس والدراسات العليا منذ عام 2008، بما في ذلك (تكنولوجيا الإنترنت، هندسة الويب، برمجة الحاسوب، الرسومات الحاسوبية، شبكات الحاسوب، أمن الحاسوب والشبكات، الأمن السيبراني، البرمجة الآمنة، الحوسبة السحابية، أمن السحابة، هندسة مراكز البيانات المتقدمة، التعلم الآلي، والتجارة الإلكترونية). كما ألقى محاضرات في تكنولوجيا المعلومات والذكاء الاصطناعي في اليونسكو، الإيسيسكو، البرلمان المصري، والنيابة العامة المصرية.

شارك في عدة لجان شكلتها وزارة الاتصالات ووزارة الشباب في مصر لتقييم مشاريع تكنولوجيا المعلومات. كما شارك في العديد من ورش العمل والمؤتمرات الدولية في المملكة المتحدة، فرنسا، إسبانيا، هولندا، إيطاليا، ألمانيا، بلجيكا، اليونان، ومنطقة الخليج. كما شارك في تنظيم العديد من المؤتمرات وورش العمل (AISI2019، AMLTA2018، ICCA2012، وALTIC2011).
