Short Biography

Nour El-Deen Mahmoud received his B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D degree in 2006, 2009 and 2013 respectively, all from Cairo University, Faculty of Computers and Information, Information Technology Department, Cairo, Egypt. Currently, he is an assistant professor in faculty of computers and information, Cairo University.

He is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) . He reviewed several papers for international journals and conferences ( ACM WCI-2015 and IEEE SCOReD2013 ), Currently, he is a reviewer in the Egyptian Informatics Journal published by Elsevier.

He has authored/coauthored 7 research publications as follow: Four peer-reviewed reputed journals, one book, one book chapter and one conference proceeding. His H-index is 3 and total impact research points 6.02. His research interests include wireless sensor networks, cryptography, multimedia, wireless communication security, network security, and NS2.

He has been teaching many courses since 2008 including (Internet Technology, Web Engineering, Computer Programming, Computer and Network Security, Cloud Computing, Computer Graphics and E-business). His teaching tasks includes (delivering lectures, seminars and tutorials designing, preparing and developing, teaching materials assessing students' coursework, setting and marking examinations), also, he gave IT lectures in UNESCO, ISESCO and Egyptian Parliament.

He was a course material author for 3 courses and had more than 25 hours of recorded videos as teaching materials for Open Education Center – Cairo University and Egyptian E-Learning University.

He participated in several committees formed by ministry of communication and ministry of youth to evaluate IT projects, he also participated in organizing several conferences and workshops (ICCA2012, ALTIC2011 and INFOS2007).

He had a professional experience in designing and developing IT projects for Egyptian Universities and for several Industrial IT companies.
