I am a lecturer in the Geology Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University. I studied Geology at Cairo University, where I obtained his B.Sc. degree in 1998. Upon completion of my B.Sc. degree I was immediately appointed as a lab instructor (tenure-track position) in Cairo University. I obtained his M.Sc. degree (mineralogy and petrology) in 2005, at Cairo University and was promoted to be an assistant lecturer. In October 2005, I started his Ph.D. at the University of Windsor in Canada. After a successful defense of my dissertation in August 2009, I returned back to Egypt and took a tenured position as a lecturer in the Geology Department of Cairo University.
