Bio
In Summer 2009, I moved to academia and joined the Electronics and Communications Engineering Dept., Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, as an Assistant Professor, where I am currently an Associate Professor. I have also been with the Wireless Intelligent Networks Center (WINC) at Nile University in Cairo, Egypt as an Adjunct Assistant Professor since Oct. 2009. I have been the Director of WINC since Oct. 2012. Prior to that, I was with Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in Sunnyvale, CA as a Senior Research Scientist and Communications & Networking R&D Group Lead from Jan. 2008 to July 2009. Before joining Lockheed Martin, I was a Senior Research Staff Member in the Networking and Systems Research Dept. at San Diego Research Center(SDRC) from Aug. 2006 to Jan. 2008. Before joining SDRC, I was a Research Scientist in the Information and System Sciences Laboratory at HRL Laboratories, LLCfrom Sept. 2000 to Aug. 2006. Before joining HRL, I was a Research Assistant in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Dept. and Center for Satellite and Hybrid Communication Networks (CSHCN) at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD.
