Course Description
In this course the concept of a field is introduced, where actions or forces can be transfered between particles without physical contact. The course deals with both electric and magnetic fields. As a tool to deal with the subject vector analysis is studied, where theories like the divergence and Stoke theorems are explained. The core of the course is the study of static electric and magnetic fields. The static electric fields include the following: Coulomb's and Gauss's laws, electric potential, dielectrics and electrostatic energy.
