Tamer M. Abuelfadl (S’94, M’04) was born in Giza,
Egypt, on April 11, 1973. He received the B.Sc.
and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from
Cairo University, Giza, Egypt, in 1995 and 1998,
respectively, and the M. S. degree in electrical
and computer Engineering from the University of
Maryland, College Park, in 2001. He got his Ph.D. degree in electrical and
computer Engineering at the University of Maryland,
College Park in 2002. In 2003 he spent a one year as a postdoc at the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics
laboratory at the same university.
From 2004 till 2011 he was as an assistant professor at the electronics and electrical communications in Cairo University.
Then in 2011 he became an associate professor.
Between Jul 13–Oct 14, 2008 he visited the SLAC National Accelerator Laborator.
His research interests include high-power electromagnetic
sources, Accelerators and computational electromagnetics.
