Biography

Tamer F. Abdelmaguid received his PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California, USA in 2004. He obtained both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at the Mechanical Design and Production Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University in 1996 and 2000 respectively. Currently, he is a Full Professor of industrial engineering at the Mechanical Design and Production Department, Cairo University. He was the general secretary of the ninth Cairo University international conference on mechanical design and production (MDP9) which was held in Cairo in 2008. He has served as a visiting assistant professor at King Saud University (KSA) from 2008 to 2010, and as a visiting associate professor at the American University in Cairo from 2017 to 2019. He has provided consultation services to local governmental and industrial organizations. His research interests are related to the optimization of manufacturing processes, production planning and scheduling and supply chain management. He has published several research papers at international journals and conference proceedings (ORCD ID: 0000-0003-1516-6057, SCOPUS Author ID: 6505883297, ResearcherID: C-5607-2015).
