Bio

Dr. Eissa Mohamed Shokir is currently professor of petroleum engineering at Cairo University, faculty engineering, petroleum engineering department. Dr. Eissa earned a BSc, MSc from Cairo University, faculty engineering, petroleum engineering department, and a PhD from University of Clausthal, petroleum engineering department, Germany, in 1998.

Dr. Eissa is internationally recognized for expertise in HPHT Well Drilling, Rock Mechanics and Wellbore Stability, Production Optimization, Well Stimulation, Formation Damage, Formation Evaluation.

He is the first author in the Middle East apply the Artificial Intelligence in Oil and Gas Industry for Optimum Well Trajectory, Fluid Characterization, Formation Evaluation Production Optimization.

Dr. Shokir conducted more than twelve funded research projects (total fund 1,500,000 USD) in Egypt and KSU and published more than thirty technical papers in very famous international Journal about development of new techniques in different areas of Petroleum Engineering. He also conducted more than one hundred Workshops in Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Turkey, Sudan, Syria, and India.

In 2012, he Founded and Established a new private expenditures postgraduate Diploma in Gas Production Engineering for graduated engineers from mechanical, chemical, electrical, mining, metallurgical and petroleum departments, in addition to establishing the Master of gas production engineering for graduated petroleum engineers as well as other engineering disciplines graduates who have got the gas production engineering diploma. He supervised more than twenty-five graduated MSc and PhD students.

Dr. Shokir is a technical reviewer for the Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering (USA), Journal of Geophysics and Engineering (UK), Journal of Energy & Fuel ACS, USA, and Journal of Advanced Research (JAR), Cairo University.
