Sahar Samir Mahmoud Abd El-Rahman, is a Full Professor of Veterinary Anatomic Pathology, Cairo University, was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1969. She received the B.Sc. degree in veterinary medicine from Cairo University, in 1992. She joined the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University as a Demonstrator in 1993. In 1996, she got the M.Sc. degree and became an assistant lecturer of Pathology till 2000 when she received the PhD. degree and became a lecturer of Pathology. She is currently a Professor of Anatomic Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. Dr. Sahar established advanced pathology solutions to offer diagnostic services in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology to Veterinary clinics in greater Cairo with other two colleagues (A Board-certified Pathologist and a practicing Veterinarian).
Dr. Sahar is an active Member in Egyptian Veterinary Medical Society of Pathology and Clinical pathology (EVMS) and Egyptian Veterinary Medical Association (EVMA). She has attended several continued education and technical workshops since, 1993. In addition she has attended a number of workshops on Quality assurance and Development of Faculty Members. Dr. Sahar has successfully attended most of the FLDP (Faculty and Leadership Development Project) training courses. She has joined a number of scientific conferences since 2002, in some of them she was a member of the Organizing Committee. Dr. Sahar has shared in the supervision as well as in the arbitration of a number of master and doctoral theses. She has published about 47 scientific papers, 29 of which were published in international journals. She is a reviewer in a number of international journals and a member of the editorial board in other international journals. Dr. Sahar is a member of the Technical Committee (TC) of Reviewing the Standards and Controls of The Issuance of University Book. Dr. Sahar has got the AWARD OF INTERNATIONAL PUPLICATION from Cairo University (CUIPA). Her main areas of research interest are the different and most recent medical scientific aspects in all animal species to come with the faculty mission “serving our community”. She conducting a
Training course on performing necropsy on various animals’ species and reading biopsy specimens slides of various lesions in College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical, Sciences, Colorado State University.
