Dr. Rabie Sadek has 35 years experience in the field of Dairy Cattle Husbandry. He was the Director of Cattle Information Center in Egypt (CISE) and the Head of Animal Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University. He was also, the executive manager of a genetic improvement project in buffaloes financed by the USAID and executed by CISE .During period from 2009 till 2012 re was the vice Dean of Education and student affairs. He participated in designing and implementing different dairy projects in the field of crossbreeding and selection programs. He participated also in many training programs and national and international workshops. He executed different feasibility studies for small and large scale dairy and beef farms. These projects, training programs and workshops were executed in cooperation with many of the local, regional and international organizations such as: MALR, breeders cooperatives, central fund for livestock development in reclaimed areas, FAO, USAID, DFG, IDRC (Canada), USGC, BADEA, EFTCA and ICAR. Through his career in Dairy Cattle Husbandry and animal breeding, he supervised over 30 graduate students. He has about 45 scientific papers as author and co-author published in international and Egyptian journals in the field of genetic improvement, production systems and livestock production. He is a member of the Egyptian Society of Animal Production (ESAP) and International Committee of Animal Recording (ICAR). He has a warded state prize in Agricultural sciences in 1995.
