He qualified from Kasr Al-Ainy Medical School in Egypt in 1999, trained as resident at department of Clinical oncology, Cairo University and earned his Master degree in 2003.
He travelled to UK and spent 6 months as clinical observer at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS hospital in 2006. He passed FRCR exams in clinical Oncology and became Fellow of Royal College of Radiologists in 2007.
Dr Abdel-Malek obtained his MD degree in clinical Oncology in 2010 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2015 and Professor in 2020. His research interests include hematological malignancies as well as genito-urinary and gynaecological cancers. He participated in many international and local trials in the field and has more than 20 publications.
