Omaima N. El Gazayerly, Ph.D. is professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy. Dr. El Gazayerly was the chair of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University from 2009 till 2015. She also worked as Vice Director for the Center of Applied Research and Advanced Studies (CARAS) in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. She has participated in more than 100 bioequivalence studies performed for generic drug products manufactured by Egyptian and multinational pharmaceutical companies in Egypt. She also co-authored more than 120 manuscripts and presentations. Her main research areas include the development of novel controlled drug delivery systems, matrix tablets, and bioadhesive systems.
