Major Management AND ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Oversee and ensure the quality of didactics, field rotation and education in all sites including in house activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate program faculty and approve the continued participation of program faculty in educational activities – faculty monthly activities `report

  • Monitor resident supervision through weekly progress report sent from resident mentors and communication with site directors
  • Prepare and submit all information required and requested by medical education, participating sites, official letters to all participating sites 
  • Respond to any official letter received from any other external departments and organizations e.g  MoPH  and  ensure that the information submitted is accurate and complete;
  • Provide each resident with documented semiannual evaluation of performance with feedback; implement policies and procedures consistent with the institutional and program requirements for resident duty hours and the working environment , distribute these policies and procedures to the residents and faculty.
  • Monitor resident duty hours, according to institutional and program  policies, with a frequency sufficient to ensure compliance with ACGME-I requirements; daily monitoring of residents attendance sheet and faculty attendance monthly reviewing of the residents attendance before submission to HMC  
  • Review and approve educational  schedules,
  • Interview and approve residents selection using standard criteria 
  • Address and response to all adverse actions or concerns of residents or faculty
  • Monitor the duty hours of admin staff, review and monitor the secretary activities  
  • Review and approve of any departmental requirements e.g. Equipments, articles , store
  • Organize and approve the faculty and residents leaves
  • Organize and moderate the monthly staff meeting
  • Ensure documentation of all program requirements and activities
  • Approve the selection of program faculty /  coordinator  as appropriate
  • Communication and collaboration with the different national  organization and teaching facilities

  • Provide appropriate, intellectually stimulating instruction by taking into consideration the unique abilities of each resident.
  • Interact with residents and staff regarding the progress of residents
  • Monitor the behavior of residents and giving the constructive feedback
  • Coordinating and conducting of different public health courses; Principles of epidemiology and epidemiological methods, Biostatistics, research methods,

    Organization and Management of Health Care, and applied epidemiology; Surveillance, epidemiology of Communicable Diseases, Maternal & Child Health care for postgraduate students

  • Preparing and   Conducting different assessment; summative, formative, and end of training assessments of residents 
  • Preparing and conducting, Biannual, annual and departmental exams 
  • Supervision and assessment of field rotation.
