I am an assistant professor at the Faculty of Nursing, Cairo University, Egypt, I have extended experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing in terms of clinical and teaching skills. In terms of competence in academic work, I was honored by the faculty of nursing (i.e. evaluation of tutor by students, 2004), Cairo University (i.e. ideal tutor, 2005), the continuing education and research training center in the faculty of nursing (i.e. planning, implementation and evaluation of a nursing training program, 2002) and the Governor of Giza (i.e. voluntary working in the campaign for providing nursing care for people in Oasis, Egypt, 2001), Faculty of nursing (i.e. organizing and conducting seminars and workshops, 2014), developing a course specification of Legal and Ethical Aspects of Operation Nursing for postgraduate diploma, 2014). I actively participated as a speaker as well as a trainer in events addressing caring and improving the quality of health services for people with chronic diseases such as diabetes and liver disease. I have actively participated in the quality improvement process in the faculty of nursing since the year 2000.
In terms of research competence, I successfully awarded the Master Science in Nursing in 2006 with excellent grades. In the year 2009, I was a winner of a competitive scholarship from the Ministry of higher education and scientific research in Egypt to study for my Ph.D. in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the UK. My researches have been honored at both levels, national and international. The President of the National Research Centre in Egypt has honored my thesis as one of the top five theses for 2013. This is the first time that the National Research Centre has honored nursing research. I got the RCN Research Society Marjorie Simpson, New Researcher Awards 2013, they highly commended my research.
