Mohannad Y. Elsayed was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1985. He received B.Sc. with honors and M.Sc. in electronics and communications engineering from Cairo University, Giza, Egypt, in 2007 and 2010, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada in 2016.

From 2007 to 2010, he was a Teaching Assistant with the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Cairo University, then an Assistant Lecturer since 2010.

His research interests include MEMS devices, microfabrication, and analog circuits, with special focus on MEMS sensors, resonators, and optical MEMS, as well as the monolithic integration of MEMS with CMOS integrated circuits.
