Bio
He gets his BSc. Degree (2000) with Excellency and honor degree from Faculty of Computers and Information (FCI), Cairo University (CU), Egypt. He received his MSc (2003) and PhD (2011) from FCI-CU with fellowship/channel (2006-2009) to Institution of Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS), Maryland, USA. He has received training at IBM 1999, Cairo branch. Also, he has received a short-term grant from DAAD to university of Ulm, Germany 2002 under the title “Workshop for young Arab Scientists”.
He is an assistant professor and lecturer at FCI-CU since November 2011 till now. He has work as a teacher assistant at FCI-CU from 2000 to 2011. He has work as a research assistant 2008 at LAMP laboratory, University of Maryland, USA.
Dr. Refaey interests include Image Processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Computer Graphics, Multimedia, Algorithms, cloud computing, and Robotics.
