Bio
Dr. Hassan received the B.Sc. (with distinction) and M.Sc. degrees in electronics and communications engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He received the PhD degree in 2015 from Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. From 2008 to 2011, he served as a teaching and research assistant in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Cairo University. From 2011 to 2015, he was a research assistant at Concordia University. From 2015 to 2017, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the same university. Between Feb. 2018 and Sep. 2018, he was a postdoctoral researcher at École Polytechnique de Montréal, Montréal, Quebéc, Canada.
Dr. Hassan's research interests include antenna design and measurement, computational electromagnetics and microwave components design. He served as a reviewer for the IEEE journals and magazines. He received the first place award in the Centre de Recherche En Electronique Radiofrequence (CREER) 2015 poster competition, Montréal, Canada. He also received an Honorable Mention in the Student Paper Competition at the 2015 IEEE AP-S Symposium on Antennas and Propagation. Furthermore, he is a recipient of the young scientist award presented at the 2017 URSI General Assembly.
