Dr. Mohamed K. Youssef is currently a lecturer of meat hygiene at Department of Food Hygiene, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University. He received his Bachleor of Veterinary Science with honors and a Master of Science in meat Microbiology from Cairo University. He did his Ph.D. in Food Science at University of Guelph, Canada in 2009.

Dr. Youssef performed his post-doctoral studies (2010-1013) in the field of Meat Microbiology at Lacombe Research Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

During the last ten years in the field of microbiology and food safety research, Dr. Youssef published many research papers, book chapters, and conference abstracts. He won many scientific awards from many national and international organizations.
