Meena E. Girgis is, at this moment, Assistant Professor at Electronics and Electric Communications Engineering (EECE) Department of Cairo University, Egypt. He was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1987. He received a B.Sc. degree in Electronics in 2010, and a M.Sc degree in Control Engineering in 2013 from EECE Department of Cairo University, Egypt. He got his Ph.D. in Electronics and Electric Communications Engineering in 2020 from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University in Egypt, majoring in adaptive control.
He has been teaching at EECE since 2010 in a wide range of subjects in the area, such as linear systems theory, process control in undergraduate courses. His research focuses on several lines, with varying emphasis in different periods of his professional activity. These lines, jointly with a link to the excerpt of publications in them appear below (some publications appear in several of the research lines, as the topic may fit more than one topic below):
1) Linear control
2) Nonlinear control
3) Intelligent control (fuzzy)
4) Optimal control (particle swarm optimization)
5) Adaptive control
6) Fractional-order control
7) Control Applications (Fusion Plasma reactor – TCV)
