Associate Professor of Cellular  & Molecular Biology
Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, Cairo University

I was graduated from the department of Zoology, faculty of Science, Cairo University, with the grade excellent. I got my Ph.D. from, Nagoya University, Japan at 2005 (A full Ph.D. Monbukagosho-Scholarsship). Since 2005, I have been appointed as a lecturer of Cell and Molecular Biology at Cairo University. I spent almost two years in Canada (2008-2009) as a postdoctoral trainee. From November 2011 to April 2013, I got another a postdoctoral training in Italy, financially supported by TALENTS Fellowship – People Specific Programme FP7 Marie Curie Actions. Currently I am the person in charge of establishing the first structural biology facility at Cairo University.

Research interests     

- Signal transduction and understanding of some biological interactions in the eukaryotic cell.

- The Role of miRNAs in Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

- Structuresof “some” proteins of biomedical interest.
