Cardiac CT Radiologist Alpha Scan Radiology Center From September 2006 Till present
Work responsibilities: o CT angiography of the coronary arteries using the iCT (256 slice, Philips), Brilliance 64 (Philips) and Aquillion 64 and Aquillion one 320 channels (Toshiba) machines with the workstation Vitrea . I was responsible for interpretation of more than 10,000 cases of the CT coronary angiography. These include cases with congenital coronary anomalies, atherosclerotic coronary artery disease and post revascularization (stent/CABG) cases. o Sharing in interpreting cases of cardiac CT in evaluation of the congenital heart diseases. o CT angiography of the pulmonary arteries, aorta & its main branches; carotid & cerebral vessels, peripheral arteries and CT portography.
General Radiology specialist Alpha Scan Radiology Center From September 2000 Till August 2006
Work responsibilities: o Interpretation of MRI, MRA and MRV examinations in the fields of neuro-radiology, Musculoskeletal, GIT and Genito-Urinary systems using high end MR machines using the high end machines (closed MR 3 & 1.5 Tesla, open high field MR 1 Tesla and open low field machines). o Interpretation of CT examinations of the brain, head & neck, chest, abdomen & pelvis, spine and Musculo-skeletal system, using high end MSCT scanners. o Interpretation of plain X rays, barium studies, IVP and hystrosalpingography exams. o Performance of diagnostic conventional angiographic procedures (including flush aortography & 4 vessels angiography) and CT guided biopsies.

Subspecialty training include:
Cardio-thoracic imaging unit (for 3 years) Work responsibilities include performance and interpretation of different CT angiographic techniques including the CT angiography of the coronary & pulmonary arteries, aorta & its branches, peripheral arteries, carotid and cerebral arteries. Cardiac CT for assessment of congenital heart diseases. Sharing in assessment of cardiac MR exams, MRA studies. Vascular & Interventional unit (for 2 years) Work responsibilities include the diagnostic procedures; flush aortography, cerebral angiography, PTC (Percutaneous trans hepatic cholangeography) & CT guided biopsies and therapeutic procedures; embolization, PTD (Percutaneous Transhepatic Drainage).
The plain X-ray & techniques unit (for 1 year) Work responsibilities include interpretation of barium studies, IVPs in addition to the plain X-rays (musculoskeletal and chest).
The Ultrasound & Doppler unit (for 2 years) Work responsibilities include Ultrasound exams & Ultrasound guided biopsies & drainage, antenatal exams & diagnoses of fetal congenital anomalies. Ultrasound exams of the small parts including the thyroid, breast and scrotum. Doppler exams for DVT, varicose veins, peripheral arterial systems of the upper and lower limbs, Carotid & vertebral arteries.
The Pediatric Hospital Radiology Department (for 1 year) Work responsibilities include MRI & CT exams of different parts of the body at the pediatric age group, abdominal & pelvic ultrasound and vascular Doppler exams, plain X-rays and special radiographic techniques (barium studies, IVP, cystography).
MRI Unit (for 1 year) Work responsibilities include: - · MRI brain including Spectroscopy, MRA, MRV · MRI GIT & Genito-urinary including the MRCP, MRU. · MRI Musculoskeletal: Spine, Knee, Shoulder, Ankle, TMJ.
CT Unit (for 2 years) Work responsibilities include CT exams of the brain, head & neck, chest, abdomen & pelvis, spine, Msk and CT angiographic studies of the cerebral vessels, Carotid arteries, Aorta & its major branches, peripheral arteries with extensive training in the field of CT angiography of the coronary arteries.
The Emergency Hospital Radiology Department (for 6 months) Work responsibilities include plain X-ray, abdominal & pelvic ultrasound and CT exams of trauma patients, patients with acute medical & surgical conditions. It also includes vascular Doppler studies in arterial trauma, acute ischemia and DVT.

Work responsibilities includes participation in the general radiology teaching program for the under graduates, lectures for the Radiodiagnosis residents in the radiology department; Cairo University hospitals (specially in the field of CT cardiac imaging) and participation in the weekly meeting “the journal club” to discus the recent reviews.
Lecturer of cardiac imaging National training institute (NTI), Ministry of health Responsible for establishing the curriculum of and teaching the cardiac module "included cardiac X-ray, CT and MR imaging" as a part of "the radiology followership" for the last eight successive courses (2007 – 20014). Recently, I had become also responsible for exam of the cardiac module.
