A Research group of Prof. Roper at Göttingen university has been working on the ultrafast photoemission from field emitter tips, and they are recently conduction research on ultrafast transmission electron microscope (UTEM), in 2014, they realized the pulsed operation of UTEM and has been carrying out time-resolved studies on different systems of different configurations and it is the first time-resolved TEM worldwide that uses the localized photoemission from a field-emission tip to create an extremely high laser-triggered electron beam quality (Armin, 2016). Presently, they are investigating quantum coherent interactions free electrons with optical near-fields, (Armin, 2015) optically induced magnetization dynamics and the dynamics of structural and electronic phase transitions (Tim, 2017)
