Soad M. O. Khan

Dr. Soad Khan holds a PhD in Music Education specializing in Piano with distinction and honors recommendation for exchange between universities in 2017, a Master's degree in Music Education specializing in Piano with general excellence and a recommendation to print the thesis at the university's expense and exchange with corresponding university colleges in 2011, and a Bachelor's degree in Music Education branch with general excellence and honors in 2004.

She has participated in research projects and those aimed at educational development. She served as the project leader for "Converting Materials and Scientific References for the Blind (Visually Impaired)" to serve the educational process and visually impaired students at the Music Education Department, Faculty of Specific Education, Cairo University, in 2015. She also contributed to the preparation of the "Training for a Better University Life" project, which was a competitive project within the framework of competitive projects for the excellence of higher education institutions submitted on behalf of the Capacity Development Center for Faculty Members and Leadership at Cairo University, the second session, and was adopted in 2014. The author also received a funded project as a scientific research grant for the doctoral thesis by decision of the Grants Committee of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology affiliated with the Ministry of Scientific Research and Technology, with an amount of 100,000 Egyptian pounds in 2013. Currently, she and her research team have won a project funded by Cairo University with an amount of 450,000 Egyptian pounds, equivalent to approximately 10,000 US dollars, for a period of two years from 2024 to 2026.

Dr. Soad Khan has experience in the fields of technology, statistical analysis, quality, and international collaboration. She also has teaching experience in courses such as Basic Piano Performance, field education supervision, Western Ear Training (Solfegio), and Oud training.

Additionally, she has received numerous awards and certificates of appreciation from various entities. She worked as a Lecturer at Department of Music Education, Faculty of Specific Education, Cairo University from 2017 until now and she participates in published research, supervises scientific theses, and participates in various scientific conferences.

Currently, Dr. Soad Khan works as a Music Trainer at Department of Music and Musicology, College of Arts and Social Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman from 2021 until now.
