Clinical Experience and Scope of Practice
· Anesthetic management of different adult surgical procedures in different specialities including neurosurgery, general, obstetric, gynecology, ambulatory, plastic, bariatric, othropedic, urology, opthalmology, vascular, dental, oral, and ENT surgery.
· Anesthetic management of different pediatric surgical procedures including general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic, urology, ophthalmic, plastic, and ENT surgery.
· Anesthetic management of neonatal surgerical procedures including: tracheo-esophageal fistula repair, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, necrotizing enterocolitis, omaphalocele, neonatal intestinal obstruction, imperforate anus and all other neonatal surgical emergencies.
· Provision of anesthesia in remote locations other than the operating theatre including ICU and radiology department
· Regional anesthesia techiniques: including neuroaxial and peripheral nerve blocks
· Preoperative assessment clinic
· Postoperative care including acute pain management
· Vascular access including central venous cannulation, peripheral venous cannulation and arterial cannulation (both conventional and ultrasound guided)
· Consultant in Surgical Intensive Care Units. Providing care for critically ill patients with major trauma requiring resuscitation, and patients undergoing major surgery including cardiac, thoracic, and major vascular surgery. Respiratory care and ventilatory support, pain management, fluid and nutritional support.
