Dr. Hussein M. H. Mohamed is currently an assistant professor of Food Hygiene and Control at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University. He received his Bachelor of Veterinary Science with honors and a Master of Science in meat Microbiology from Cairo University. During 2002-2004, Dr. Hussein was a Ph.D. visiting scholar at Food Science and Technology Department, Ohio State University, USA. His Ph. D. thesis was entitled Preservation of Meat by Gamma Irradiation and High Pressure.
Later, he was appointed as Lecturer of Food Hygiene and Control. He appointed as research associate at Food, Agriculture and Biological Engineering Department, Ohio State State University, USA from May 2009 to January 2012.
He has supervised and co-supervised many MSc and PhD. students. Dr. Hussein's research interests are centered on food microbiology and safety. During the last ten years, Dr. Hussein published many research papers, book chapters, and conference abstracts. He won many scientific awards from many universities.
