Hala Elsayed is a researcher at Cairo University, Egypt. She holds a Master of Science and Doctor of Science degrees in Medical Entomology. her major research interest is to study vectors and vector-borne diseases, especially ticks and tick-borne diseases. she had studied several pathogens of veterinary and medical importance, including the protozoal pathogens Babesia sp. and Theileria sp. Using basic molecular biological methods such as PCR, gene cloning and expression, gene editing etc.
