Dr. Hala El-Miniawy received her Ph.D. in Veterinary pathology from Cairo University in 1991.she holds several adjunct positions at Cairo University, such as assistant professor in the Department of Pathology in 1996, Full Professor in 2001. She holds the post of Vice Dean for graduate studies and research from 2011-2014 then Head of Pathology department since 2015 till now.
Dr. El-Miniawy shared in training programs and workshops in Molecular Biology, Therapeutic Applications of Stem cells, Application of Image Analysis System in Histopathology Research, Food security and safety against Terrorist Threats and Natural Disasters and Nanotechnology.
Dr. El-Miniawy participated in many national and international conferences in different fields especially Toxicological Pathology and Veterinary Medicine. She was invited as speaker in GSRS-2012 conference program organized by FDA as the only participant from Middle East.
She establishes the first institutional animal care and use committee (IACUC) in Faculty of veterinary Medicine, Cairo University in 2012 which was the first committee dealing with animal care and use in research join the Egyptian Network of Research Ethics Committees (ENREC). She joins the research ethics committees of faculty of pharmacy Future University and Heliopolis University, REC Dental girls Al-Azhar University and National organization for Drug control and Research (NODCAR) for reviewing research protocols dealing with animal care and use in research.
She is a Professional trainer and member of FDLC Cairo University where she teaches some courses for academic staff
She was involved in the research project” Low Cost decentralized Sewage water Treatment in Egypt for use in Agriculture and Producing safe Fish and Animal Proteins”
