Biography

Hassan Aboubakr Omar received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada, in 2014, and the M.Sc. in engineering mathematics and the B.Sc. degree in electronics and communications engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, in 2009 and 2005, respectively. From 2005 to 2008, he was a Research Assistant with the Science and Technology Research Center, American University, Cairo. Since 2014, he has been a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo. Hassan was a recipient of the best paper award from the IEEE Globecom in 2013, and his current research interests include vehicular ad hoc networks, heterogeneous networks, and optimization.
