Holds Master and Ph.D. Degree in Economics from Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. Supervised several master and Ph.D. theses in Economics program, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, master theses in Law and Economics program in collaboration with University of Hamburg and professional master theses in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program in collaboration with University of Cambridge.
As an energy economist and an academic with over 20 years of experience, the main focus is analyzing the socio-economic impact of energy transition in a low carbon era, with several research and policy papers published in reputable peer-reviewed journals (SCI, SCCI) and in the Egyptian Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) in the area of renewable energy, hydrogen, low carbon transition and climate change impacts.
