Bio
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science on 2008 from the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Ireland. I graduated from Cairo University, Egypt on 2000 with a First Class Honours in Information Systems. I then completed a M.Sc. in Information Systems on 2003 at the same university.
My research interests span the areas of databases and information systems with focus on: 1) cloud data management and parallel algorithms, 2) mining and processing very large data sets, 3) similarity and range search, and 4) mobile context-aware systems.
