is a professor of medical oncology & hematology, head of the medical oncology critical care unit, NCI, Cairo University. He graduated from the faculty of medicine Cairo University in 1981. He continued his post-graduate training at the National Cancer Institute, performing internship and residency in medical oncology where he earned the master and MD degree in medical oncology and hematology. Prof. Saber engages in both clinical and laboratory research and has many published research papers. He recently issued medical oncology handbook series that covers all aspects of cancer chemotherapy, supportive care as well as diagnosis and management of hematological malignancies and solid tumors. He is also an editorial board member of the Journal of the Egyptian NCI, Cairo University. His specialist areas of clinical practice are breast, gastrointestinal malignancies and lymphomas.
