Amira Elbendary, MD, is a Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist, serving now as lecturer in Dermatology Department, Kasr Alainy Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt.

Dr. Elbendary has completed her Dermatology Residency in Dermatology Department, Cairo University, and got her degree of Masters of Science in Dermatology with excellence high honor from Cairo University. She also got training in Dermatology Department, Ichan School of Medicine, Mount Sinai, New York USA, mentored by Dr. Mark Lebwohl, MD (a previous head of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Chairman of Dermatology Department at Mount Sinai).

Dr. Elbendary completed her dermatopathology fellowship at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York City, USA, mentored by Dr. Dirk Elston (the previous head of American Academy of Dermatology, and currently the Chair of the Department of Dermatology and Dermatolgic Surgery in MUSC and the Editor of JAAD) and Jacqueline Junkins-Hopkins, MD (a Consultant Dermatopathologist and Cutaneous Lymphoma Expert at Ackerman Academy). Dr. Elbendary got her doctorate degree in Dermatology and Dermatopathology from Cairo University.

Dr. Elbendary's professional interests include medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology and dermatopathology.
Dr. Elbendary authored chapters in textbooks under press, over thirty articles in scientific journals including the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology and British Journal of Dermatology. Dr. Elbendary is also an author in Medscape Dermatology since 2015.
