Professor

Dr. Abdelrahman has been born at Mansoura, Dakahlya, Egypt in 1944. He received his B.Sc. (1966) in Geology and M.Sc. (1973) in Geophysics from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt and his Ph.D. (1979) in Geophysics from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charle's University, Czechoslovakia. He joined the staff of Cairo University in 1966 and was appointed a research professor of potential field methods in the Department of Geophysics in 1990. Dr. Abdelrahman has written several technical papers. He served as a visiting professor and an external examiner at Egyptian and foreign universities and institutions. He has received numerous awards from the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Cairo. His research interests are data processing and interpretation techniques using the least-squares method. He is a member of SEG, AAPG, and EGS.
