Hatem H. Zeineldin received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Cairo University, Giza, Egypt, in 1999 and 2002, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, in 2006. He was with Smith and Andersen Electrical Engineering, Inc., North York, ON, USA, where he was involved in projects involving distribution system designs, protection, and distributed generation. He was a Visiting Professor with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA. His current research interests include distribution system protection, distributed generation, and micro grids.
