2012-2015

       Resident of General Surgery, Cairo University Hospitals.

                   Responsibilities included assistance in running the outpatient clinic,                       ward care, performing minor and moderate surgery,assisting in major                      surgeries, performing medical research, weekly auditing.

 

                   This period included 12 months in accident and emergency where my                    duties were:

                       -Three times Weekly 24 hr shift of Traumatology and General surgical                               emergencies

                       (Including shifts in the resuscitation room, in the emergency                                   department, and the surgical theatre)

                       -Supervising the house officers.

                      -Scrubbing in most of the cases, performing several procedures under                     the supervision of the assistant lecturer and the lecturer and also                                 assisting senior staff in the difficult cases.

-supervising younger staff in the resuscitation room. & taking decisions in most of the presenting cases.

                       -Responsible for giving the bedside patient medical care in the surgical                  wards and performing surgical rounds along the working shift.

                       -Attending the weekly morbidity and mortality conference and                                presenting the surgical audit and several scientific presentations..

                        - Follow-up of the cases in the outpatient clinic weekly.

 

2015  Assistant Surgeon ( Registrar level)

Dar El Foad Hospital, Giza, Egypt.

                  Duties included:                                                                                                          Assisting in minor and major surgery daily, twice weekly outpatient                         clinic,  daily staff round, post operative care of patients.

2016 Till now :  Assisstant lecturer at faculty of medicine , cairo university.

             Duties include:

             Teaching students at tutorial and clinical classes.

             Attending clinics , elective operations , emergency detartment on          weekly basis .
