Amira F.Y. El-Kady

Amira F.Y. El-Kady, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Ornamental Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt, where she has been a faculty member since 2005. Amira completed her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. also at Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University. In addition to her experience in university teaching since 1997, her research interests lie in the area of producing ornamental plants with fewer resources and lesser wastes, using environmentally friendly materials and sustainability practices. Specifically, her research proposes solutions for: sustainable agriculture, agricultural systems integration, environmental stresses (especially salinity), wastewater reuse in agriculture, and waste recycling in agriculture.
