Bio

Amr received his BSc and MSc degrees in operations research and decision support from the faculty of Computers and Information, Cairo University. He got his PhD from the school of Management, Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland at 2011. Amr lectured in various institutes like Institute of Statistical Studies and Research, Cairo University; Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland; American University of Middle East, Kuwait; and 6 October University of Modern Science and Art (MSA), Egypt. In addition to his academic experience, Amr has acquired important industrial experience through working in different industries such as software housing (Jupiter 2000, Egypt), manufacturing systems (Mobica for integrated industries, Egypt), distribution centers (Good Year Dunlop, Ireland), and trading industry (Heiton Buckly, Ireland). He has published several international journal and conference articles in areas like supply chain management, modeling and simulation, lean manufacturing and supply chain, and operations research. His research interests including operations and supply chain management, lean manufacturing and logistics, modeling and simulation, operations research and decision support.
