Dr. Ingy is an urban planning and design expert with both academic and practice experience in the areas of urban design, low cost housing, resettlement schemes and architecture design. This experience is gained from private practice, working for governmental and international bodies, and various local governorates.
She served as a lead in the designing and detailing of several architectural projects as well as preparing their tenders and technical reports.
Dr. Ingy has managed projects from conception to finalization, and she has a solid track record of introducing solutions to the problems of informal urbanization in Egypt. These solutions are found through identifying citizen needs and building capacities and architectural traditions through quantitative and qualitative data gathering methods.
Additionally, Dr. Ingy has extensive experience in serving in an advisory capacity and providing guidance to local governments and institutions on issues of urban development, policy, and governance. She is able to represent organizations in low and high level opportunities, along with a highly skilled capacity. She is also an institutional building officer with comprehensive experience in supporting the development of administrative procedures for urban management tasks.
Dr. ingy has a wide field-experienced capacity building officer that introduces community participation in urban planning and conductes trainings on topics such as City Development Strategy (CDS), upgrading, and urban services provision.
Dr. Ingy is a highly effective leader and project manager with full cycle experience from liaising with investors and creating tenders to formulating construction contracts and site supervision. She is able to effectively lead and work with multicultural teams.
Her academic background as an experienced researcher has enriched her knowledge of the legal and administrative dimensions of physical planning, land management, and experience in having her own research work.
