Bio

I am an assistant lecturer in the Geology Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University. I studied Geology at Cairo University, where I obtained my B.Sc. degree in 2012. Upon completion of my B.Sc. degree I was immediately appointed as a lab instructor (tenure-track position) in Cairo University. I obtained my M.Sc. degree (stratigraphy and micropaleontology) in 2016, at Cairo University and was promoted to be an assistant lecturer.

I am interested in Micropaleontology, Climate Changes, and Quaternary Geology. My major research interests are:

  • Foraminifera and Ostracods being two proxies for the Quaternary indicators.
  • Understanding the controlling factors on the paleo-environments.
  • Environmental Sciences and Ecotoxicology.
