(http://www.stdf.org.eg/):

STDF Project ‘Developing a New Positive Displacement Pump and New Servovalve’

-Analyzed Linear and Nonlinear dynamic performance of novel servovalve and digital valve concepts designed in collaboration with Cairo University and RWTH Aachen.

-Verified concepts using simulation software (Simulink, SimHydraulics)

- Identified flow characteristics of valves using CFD software (Fluent)

-Designed and produced manufacturing drawings  of  novel valves.

- Testing of Valves.

May 2011-October 2013 Research Assistant

Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF), Egypt

(http://www.stdf.org.eg/):

STDF Project ‘Egyptian Prototype CSP System’

-Was part of project to design first Egyptian Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) system.

-Performed 3D CFD simulations for the CSP under different wind loads to study the static and dynamic effects of different wind speeds on the design.

-Operated the control system used for the CSP  solar tracking system.

-Acquired experimental data to be used in CSP performance analysis

-Programs Used:  ANSYS ®, FLUENT ®, ABB Freelance AC 700F ®
