Associate Professor

Ahmed Emira received the BSc and MSc degrees in electronics and communications from Cairo University, Giza, Egypt, in 1997 and 1999, respectively. In December 2003, he received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at Texas A&M University, College Station, TX.

Dr. Emira has about 10 years of industrial experience in RFIC and power management circuits in Motorola, Silicon Laboratories, and Newport Media Inc. He has been working as a Manager RFIC Design at Newport Media Inc. He has more than 35 journal and conference publications, five US patents and several pending. he is current an associate professor at the faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. His current interests include low power mixed-signal circuits for portable devices/energy harvesting systems, RF circuits, MEMS interface electronics, and wireless communication systems architectures.

Dr. Emira was awarded the Motorola Scholarship in 2000. He received the Third Best Student Paper award in the IEEE RFIC, Seattle, WA, in 2002.
