Assistant Professor
Salaheldin Elkatatny is an assistant professor at Cairo University, Petroleum Department. He works as a senior geomechanical engineer at Advantek International Company. He received his Ph.D. in the Petroleum Engineering Department at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Petroleum Engineering Department at Cairo University, Egypt. He worked as a teaching assistant for five years in Cairo University. He worked with SUCO oil company as a drilling engineer for one year and he also worked with informatics international (a sister company of Advantek International, Houston, Texas) as a junior geomechanics engineer for two years. His areas of research include waste management, hydraulic fracture design, drilling fluid design, filter cake removal, and wellbore stability. He has 2 patents, 4 journal papers and presented more than 14 technical papers.
